What You’re Looking For

GLASSBLOWING

We are not a public access studio. No classes are offered. If you are interested in pursuing an education in glass, please see our links page.

MATERIALS

All of our glass is made with lead free crystal in our studio in Southern California. All of our custom lighting components are fabricated locally.

VARIATIONS

Each piece is hand made and hand assembled. No molds are used, and no two pieces will be exactly alike. Variations in dimensions, shape, and color of glass are normal and expected. Pieces are grouped by purchase order, and multiple quantities of the same product will be matched as closely as possible. Products from separate purchase orders may vary in size, shape, color, and materials. Siemon & Salazar reserves the right to make any necessary changes in content or price or to discontinue items at our discretion.

PRODUCTION

Production estimates are given when orders are confirmed by Siemon & Salazar and are based on current production schedules. Lead times also depend on the timely receipt of all required paperwork and payment. Rush order availability is dependent on production schedules and must be approved at the time the order is placed. All orders are produced individually by hand, and the quality of the products is our primary concern; therefore, delays may occur in manufacturing, especially with custom orders. The precise time of production and delivery is not a condition of sale.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Requests for custom work may be submitted for approval and pricing by returning a completed Siemon & Salazar custom project form. A $2,500.00US minimum will apply to all custom orders. A retainer will be required for any working drawings, renderings, or prototypes requested prior to receipt of confirmed order and deposit. A written purchase order and 50% deposit are required to put an order into production. We do not color match. Custom orders will be subject to individually appropriate lead times due to the unique requirements of each project. All sales are final. There are absolutely no returns, exchanges, or refunds on custom work or on products with custom changes of any kind.

LOW VOLTAGE VS. LINE VOLTAGE

Siemon & Salazar produces lighting fixtures wired for low voltage and line voltage applications.

Line voltage (120 volt) fixtures include the banded orb pendants, lattimo pendants, bubble pendants, thick barnacle pendants, metals pendants, elbow sconces, growlights, antler fixtures, and table lamps. The term line voltage refers to fixtures that do not require a transformer and run on the line voltage of the installation location. Line voltage pendants and wall sconces will wire directly to a j-box.

Low voltage (12 volt) fixtures include the happy kiss pendants and small thick pendants. The term low voltage refers to fixtures that require a transformer to convert the line voltage of the installation location to 12 volts. These pendants or sconces will NOT wire directly to a j-box.

STANDARD INCLUDED COMPONENTS

All lighting fixtures are shipped with bulbs and wiring instructions.

All line voltage pendants include a matching finish canopy and associated hardware. They are ready to be wired to a standard j-box. All pendants come with standard 6’ of cord. This can be cut in the field to the desired length.

All low voltage pendants include a socket assembly, male Fast Jack connector, and associated hardware. All pendants come with standard 6’ of cord. This can be cut in the field to the desired length. Low voltage pendants are NOT ready to be wired to a standard j-box. Separate canopy/transformer kits can be purchased in various configurations. Please inquire for more details. Our low voltage connectors are compatible with Edge, LBL, and Tech low voltage halogen canopies and track systems.

DIMMERS

Line voltage fixtures are compatible with most standard incandescent dimmers. Low voltage fixtures are dimmable with electronic low voltage dimmers.

REPLACEMENT PARTS

Light bulbs, parts, and electrical components are not sold separately. Replacement lighting parts may be provided only to existing customers with original PO number. Please have your original order information available when contacting us to request replacement parts. Replacement light bulbs can be sourced through most larger bulb suppliers.

UL/ETL LISTING

Our standard line voltage pendants and elbow sconces are UL listed. Our low voltage lights use ETL listed components. Portable table lamps are not UL listed. UL regulations do not allow inline switches or dimmers. Our lighting is NOT listed for outdoor, damp, or wet locations. Custom requests may require changes that are outside of UL regulations. If UL listing is required for a custom fixture, please specify at the time of order. Please consult all rules, regulations, and codes regarding the electrical listing requirements for your intended application.

INSTALLATION

All lighting must be installed by a licensed contractor. Instructions are supplied with all lighting products. It is the responsibility of the contractor to read and follow these instructions carefully. Elbow sconces are designed to be installed facing up. Improper installation facing down will result in a shorter lifespan of the internal components of these fixtures. Follow all bulb and maximum wattage specifications. Failure to follow these specifications could result in breakage and damages. Siemon & Salazar is not responsible for damage due to failure to follow specifications outlined. It is the end user’s responsibility to read and follow these instructions carefully.
