Anemone Murrine Stone Low Uvase
7"T x 7"W
These rare pieces of art indulge in intimate detail. Their beauty comes not from their brilliant colors or size, but from their subtle intricacies. Hundreds of strands of glass, or cane, are stretched and cut into small pieces. These are laid out and fused together. The fused bundles are then stretched again to create the anemone murrine. These are arranged on a ceramic plate in careful patterns. When the glass is shaped, the strands are distorted as they are manipulated. This gives the finished pieces a look of frozen fluidity. Signed and numbered.
Singular works can be recreated but will not be an exact replica of original.
